EAL Provision

Here at St-Agnes we have children from many different countries, speaking varied languages. These children are supported in EAL (English as an Additional Language) groups. The children receive different levels of language development support depending on their individual needs.

Early Language Development
In small, time- focused groups, the children develop their speaking and listening skills whilst acquiring key vocabulary about a number of topics including:
Meeting and greeting, family and the community, routines, days of the week and months of the year, weather and the seasons and food and healthy living.
