Dear Parents and Carers and pupils of St Agnes,
I hope everyone is safe and well. This is just a quick update to inform everyone that school will be closed for at least another three weeks, which means we are shut until at least the 8th of May 2020 . This is following the latest official government briefing (16.04.20), where it was announced the coronavirus lockdown will continue for at least another three weeks.
This is a challenging time but what we can do is continue with routine and purposeful activities to structure our day. This will help stop us getting bored! Please continue with the home learning – packs will be available from Monday 20th April to be collected from school as well as online.
Here’s what I have been doing:
9am – exercise for half an hour – using Joe Wick’s PE videos on YouTube – these can be done at anytime! Some days I’ve waited until the afternoon to do them!
10am – 12pm – some school work
12pm-1pm – lunchtime! The weather has been lovely recently so we have been eating in the garden!
Afternoon – I’ve done a little bit more work and a finding job around the house that needs sorting – so far I’ve organmised clothes, mountains of paperwork (this was very boring but needed doing!), cleaning the cupboards, washing all the windows!
As you know I love to run, so as we are allowed daily exercise, I’ve been discovering new areas and routes when running every day between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
Evening – I give some time to prayers and reading and a little bit of telly!
Whatever you do, please make sure you are following guidelines to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
At the start of the term we will be preparing and giving out the new term’s home learning packs. You will be sent a message by ParentMail informing you of the date to pick the packup from school.
I’d like to welcome back two of our staff who return from maternity leave – Mrs Pandolfi, who will teach Year 4 Triangles Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, alongside Mrs Buckley, who will teach the class Thursdays and Fridays, and Mrs Cronin, our SENCO, who will also be working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She will share the role with Mrs Anderton, who will work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Everyone is missing all our pupils so much!
Wishing you all safe and good health.
