What a fantastic day we had at our second Great Get Together/Eid celebration – ‘Bee Blessed’.
It was wonderful to see so many parents and children taking part in all the activities.
We had the charity, Human Appeal, hold a stall giving out goody bags and raising awareness of the work they do. The wet sponge event raised £145.40. This will go to Human Appeal’s Education Fund. Myself, Mr Lammas and other staffare still drying off!
The Bee Peaceful Peace Mala stall raised £242.48 – lots of bracelets were sold and fun had in trying to ‘build’ them!
The Parent Ambassadors’ cake sale was a phenomenal success with £347.20 raised – this will go towards our playground fund.
The Be Creative stall – organised completely by our Year 6 pupils – through making and selling slime made nearly £130! This will go towards funding their trip at the end of the year. Demand outstripped supply in this market and all the products were sold out! Dragon’s Den will be in Year 6’s sights!
Calories were lost in the Bee Healthy area – the best way to get healthy is through something fun and enjoyable and the beats and sounds of bhangra certainly proved a success as there were lots of mums and staff enjoying themselves.
In total nearly £900 was raised for different things which is amazing. This event perfectly shows how wonderful and generous our St Agnes’ Community is. It isn’t solely about raising money but communities getting together and sharing the things we have in common.
All I can say now is a huge thank you to everyone for making this happen including parents, pupils, staff, Parent Ambassadors and all who volunteered their time and effort!
