Traditional tales

We enjoyed reading the story, talking about the characters and setting, and writing what the characters would say in speech bubbles.  Our favourite saying was “Who’s been eating my porridge?”  On Friday we ate some Daddy Bear porridge and some Baby Bear porridge.  Most of us liked Baby Bear’s porridge as it was, “Just right!

A special visitor came to Nursery – Goldilocks!  It was great to meet her and we enjoyed talking to her and asking her questions.  We encouraged her to follow our Golden Rules and to say sorry to Baby Bear for eating his porridge, breaking his chair and sleeping in his bed.  Goldilocks wrote us a thank you letter for helping her to follow the Golden Rules.

We also enjoyed singing The Goldilocks Song.  You can find it at: http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/songs/the-goldilocks-song

This upcoming week, our learning will be centred around another traditional tale, Little Red Riding Hood.
