Welcome back to the final half term in Nursery. Over the next few weeks we will be learning about transport and journeys. This week we have been finding out what the children already know about different types of vehicles and transport and what they would like to find out.
We went on a vehicle hunt to see which vehicles we could see through our school gates, we saw lots of cars, vans and taxis – we even found Miss Weale’s car!
In Phonics this week the fish group have revised /h/b/f/ff/ and cat and dog group have been introduced to /g/o/c/k/ – can your child find something in your house that begins with any of the sounds they have been learning?
Next week the children have decided that they would like to learn more about cars, therefore this will be our focus.
We have our class assembly on Friday 23rd June and on Monday we will be sending lines from the assembly home with some children for them to practice their parts at home.
