Over the next few weeks, the children in Year 5 and Year 6 will begin to look at the ‘Growing and Changing’ sessions. These sessions are planned to prepare them for the changes that occur in our bodies at the time of puberty and also discuss things like online safety and the importance of personal hygiene. We are sure you would agree that these are all very important things for children to be taught at this time in their lives.
If you have any questions regarding the lesson content, you can join us for an informal coffee and chat session with the School Nurse, who will personally teach the sessions with our girls. Mr Uddin will teach the boys. There will also be a chance to see exactly what the sessions involve, to hopefully eradicate any concerns that you may have about content.
The School Nurse has said she will be available from 8:30am onwards if any parents would like to chat with her before they leave for work.
Or if you have any questions that you may like to ask privately, ask for an appointment to speak with myself, as I will happily go through the content with you.
Thank you as always for working so closely with us as a school.
Together we can ensure the children are prepared for life beyond St Agnes’.
