Whole School Reading News

On Thursday, March 2nd 2017 it is World Book Day and we all have the opportunity to join in with celebrating thirty years of ‘Where’s Wally?’ by Martin Handford.

On World Book Day:

  1. Could you celebrate by dressing up as Wally?
  2. Could you help your class teacher by trying to find Wally who has decided to hide somewhere in our school?

Further excitement includes the special arrival of: The Book Fair on Monday, March 6th. Previews of books to buy will hopefully take place on Friday, March 3rd.

Also, you have the fantastic opportunity to enter our St Agnes C.E. Book Fair Competition. This time around, we would like you to design a new fantastic front cover for your favourite book. Remember many book covers are created by amazing illustrators/artists such as: Anthony Browne, Barbara Cooney and Quentin Blake.

You will be given a template by your class teacher, but of course you may use your own creative design ideas as well.

All competition entries must be handed in to your class teacher by Monday, February 27th 2017. This is a perfect opportunity to be creative over the Half Term Holiday.
