‘We Collaborate’ was a huge success!

We Collaborate

Yesterday was the last day of our special WE Week. We Collaborate, was focused on sharing what we had learnt all week with others. Stalls were based on issues faced by the Longsight Community and people in living in Manchester that the children had tried to resolve all week. We had a stall from BELongsight, who shared their environmental work which included recycling and planting to provide the children with a cleaner, safer environment; Stanley Grove Primary School, who promoted their Bee Design competition and Big Park Clean which is coming up in a few weeks in Crowcroft Park; Mrs Panteli’s Recycling at Home stall- supporting families with what to recycle and in the hope to prevent litter and reduce landfills: Peace Mala Stall ran by the Peace Mala Ambassadors and Ms Oxley; We Rafikis ran by one of our Peace Mala Children and Ms Berry, which promoted work of African women and supports wider global poverty issues and a Cake Stall for the Rotary Club who are raising money for families affected by the attacks in Sri Lanka. We had an additional stall, with novelty keyrings and pencils donated by Safaa and Dawoud’s mum towards our Playground Funds and Beat the Goalie Stall. These were both to support the wellbeing of our children who have a lack of clean space in the Longsight, to develop their physical skills and promote exercise!

We raised:

£42 for the Playground

£184 for Sri Lanka – Rotary Club

We also sold £73.50 worth of Peace Mala Bracelets!

A huge Thank You to all of the staff who stayed and supported the event! You truly are awesome!

Keep believing children, Together we can make a difference!
