Reception Home Learning: Thursday 21st May 2020

Good morning Reception Class.

Today is Thursday !

Wake up, Shake up !

Daily Maths Meeting:

Our new number of the week is: 25

Can you find 25 objects in your house e.g. buttons, beads, counters, pasta, grapes and sort them into piles of tens and ones.

Listen to the story again.

Now use the story map below to retell the story. You don’t need to write any words yet, just use the plan to structure your story.

What happens at the beginning, after that, next, then, finally, at the end?

Today’s lesson is looking at three digraphs: oa, oo and ar

Can you find them on the sound mat?

The oo digraph makes two different sounds.

oo – a short oo sound as in book

00 – a long oo sound, as in moon

Can you read these words?

This week we’re learning to double numbers. Here’s a song about doubling:

Can you double the spots on the ladybirds ?

Relax and Unwind with a story.

Keep in touch and if you’re happy to share photographs of your child’s work with us – please send them to
