Reception Home Learning: Tuesday 31st March

Good morning, Reception!

Let’s start our learning with finding out what the date is. It’s the last day of March.

Can you remember what our number of the week is?

Can you find out what temperature it is today?

Find 3 of your favourite toys and choose one of the following activities below:

Can you write the initial sound for each toy?

Can you write what each toy is?

Can you write a caption for each toy?

Can you write a sentence for each toy? Don’t forget to use a Hi5 sentence: capital letters, finger spaces, full stops, phonics and check it makes sense.

For today’s maths acitivity write numbers 1-20 on a separate sheets of paper. Here’s a number song to help get you in the mood.

Ask an adult to hide them around them around the house. Go on a number hunt! Once you have found all the numbers can you put them in the right order?

For phonics today have a go at reading the sounds below:

s     a     t     p     i     n     m      d      g      o      c      k

Can you read the setences below?

The cat sat on the mat.

Fish and chips on a dish.

The light of a torch.

Tools in the shed.

Can you practise the tricky words?

Unwind and relax

Note to parents:

Please remember to share any activities you are doing with your children at home and if you have any questions, we will be happy to reply in the comments section below.

Thank you, stay safe and keep in touch 🙂
