Aspiration Day

It has been an absolutely amazing day at St Agnes, with the staff and children coming to school dressed as they would for their future career. We have been joined by the Police, Fire Brigade and a local GP as we found out about their wonderful jobs and just how inspirational their roles in the community are.
Proceedings in ‘Our Aspirational Assembly’ were lead by Judge Uddin (Mr Uddin our Deputy Headteacher), who started our assembly, after a Forensic Scientist( Mr Lammas) told us about the crime scene he had been working on in the playground.  Luckily, Police Officers Ryan and Maguire (Ms Ryan and Mr Maguire) were on the case very quickly and solved the crime in the playground, stopping any further disruption to our day. We then heard all about the wonderful aspirations of our children as they shared their hopes and dream careers for the day. We also learnt about the many famous people who have had success, some of whom lived in Longsight.
A big thank you to all of the staff and children at the school for making the day hugely successful! Here’s to the future… may it be amazing for us all!
