Home learning Year 5– Friday 3rd April 2020

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you are all keeping well and keeping fit. Here are the activities that are planned for today.

Health and well being
Continue with Jo Wick’s routine with the whole family. Did you try the extra challenge on ‘Go Noodle’?  Choose another activity from the coping calendar. Write and date it in your book and write how it makes you feel.

Reading
Read your wonderful, written story out aloud to a family member. You can even record your story, using your voice to express the drama!
Spellings
Get ready for your spelling test! Get someone in your family to choose 10 spellings from the first 15 words from the Y5/6 spelling words and test you. You can write them in your book.

Maths
Hope you enjoyed the first arithmetic paper. The answers are at the bottom of the paper. Mark your work and make any corrections. If you need any extra practice go to Twinkl, they are offering a months access for parents for free. Go to www. twinkl.co.uk/offer and create a new membership. Make sure you enter the code PARENTSTWINKLHELPS. There are many arithmetic Year 5 papers you can download.

Easter Holiday Learning
Your Easter homework is to finish off all of the activities in your home learning folder. Continue with Times Table Rockstars and ensure you keep active by visiting ‘The extra PE-keeping active and well’, which was posted yesterday. You could still carry on with Jo Wick and Go Noodle.  Try and enter the Easter writing challenge. You could be a winner.
There are many Easter activities posted on the website today, that you can attempt over the Easter break. Ensure you pace your work throughout the two weeks, but also try to rest, play and talk.

Enjoy and keep safe.
