How many words ending in ng can you spot in this video?

 

I spotted 7 words in that video ending in ng. Can you spot them all and spell them in your workbook?

 

Maths

Race to 20

For this game you will need your 20 counters and you will need to draw a number line to 20, like this:

1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  10  11  12  13  14  15  16  17  18  19  20

You will also need a die (dice) or you can use an online die (type roll dice into Google and Google has its own dice roller).

Each time you roll the dice, you add that amount of counters to the number line. So if you get a 3, you add 3 counters to the number line, like this:

And then if you get a 2, you add 2 more counters to the number line, like this:

Keep going until you reach 20!

Count how many times you roll the die before you get to 20.

The aim is to get to 20 as quick as you can! The fewer the number of rolls, the better! Can you get there in 7 rolls? Can you get there in 6 rolls?

My record is 6 rolls!

Can you get there in 5 rolls and beat my record?

Let’s find out how well you know the story of Beegu. Read the story again and then answer the questions below in your home learning book. You  may need somebody to help you read it.

Beegu

Beegu was not supposed to be on Earth. She was lost.

No one understood what she was saying. No one listened. She walked and she walked and she walked. From far away, she thought she heard her mum calling. But it was a telephone!

Beegu felt very lonely, so she decided to find some friends. She found a playground full of children. From far away, she thought she heard her mum calling. But it was a school bell!

Then she wandered some more. She found a zoo full of wild animals. From far away she thought she heard her mum calling. But it was a lion roaring!

Finally, Beegu trudged up a steep hill. From far away, she thought she heard her mum calling. She looked up at the sky full of stars. It was her mum!
