Today we are going to be comparing objects.
We will be using the following language to compare groups of objects:
greater than
less than
equal to
Let’s have a go at a question:
Use greater than , less than or equal to to complete the sentences.
is
Here, 3 is more than 1 so the answer is 3 is greater than 1. ‘Greater’ means ‘more’.
is
Here, 2 is less than 3 so the answer is 2 is less than 3.
is
Here, 3 is the same as 3 so the answer is 3 is equal to 3. ‘Is equal to’ means ‘the same as’.
