Maths
Today we are going to continue comparing objects.
We will continue using the following language to compare groups of objects:
greater than
less than
equal to
We are going to start using a symbol for each of these terms:
is greater than >
is less than <
is equal to =
<
Is less than – the symbol starts small and gets bigger. 1 is less than 3.
>
Is greater than – the symbol starts off big and gets smaller. 3 is greater than 1.
=
Is equal to – the symbol stays the same size all the way along the lines. 2 is equal to 2.
