Playground Project

In simple terms our current playground is rubbish! We have, thanks to a complete rebuild in 2008 and a further extension in 2010, a fantastic large modern school building with spacious classrooms and great teaching facilities. However, our play-space has been overlooked! We currently have 456 awesome pupils on roll and their current playground simply is not inspiring! Basically, our playground is nothing but patchy tarmac and a few painted lines, look for yourself:

What we would like to do; is provide our awesome, hardworking pupils with a play-space that matches the building. Our pupils deserve to have a playground and play equipment that inspires  them and encourages them to be active. By being active at play-times pupils will be more successful in the classroom as physical activity aids mental well-being and attainment. So, we would like to regenerate the playground. We would like to provide a climbing area for the juniors, brand new play equipment for the Early years and a multi-games area to allow us to host local cluster schools games events.

To achieve our dream we need to raise around £130,000 and so we are launching a crowdfunding webpage on Spacehive and will be seeking funding from a selection of Trusts/Grants available. So, how can you help? Come and visit us on  Thursday February 16th at 9:10 a.m. or 5:30p.m. in the main hall to view our full plans, ask questions or show your support. Alternatively spread the message of our plans to all your friends and relatives or visit our spacehive page and pledge. Remember:
