It is Official. We have now been in the new building for 10 Years!

Our 10 Year Anniversary of the new school building was a spectacular event today. Mr Uddin had invited all of the past Headteachers and staff to join us in the main hall for a special historical look at the building and some wonderful images of the building work actually taking place. As many of you will know, the building was opened to the children on 27th March 2009, which makes our wonderful building 10 Years old today!

The really exciting thing about our school is the environmental methods of manufacturing it. As St Agnes’ CE was built with 100% recycled fermacell partitioning boards, we were the first British Primary School to be built with a totally eco friendly innotivate timber panel system made from recycled wood cuttings. Mrs Pantelli (Our Eco Schools Lead) will be very pleased to hear this!

Ten Year Celebrations

We had a wonderful morning to celebrate this special event. All of the children attended a special service in the playground, where they got to witness the burial of our ‘timecapsule’, which had been filled earlier in the morning, by the Student Council and Peace Mala children.

Time for Mrs Bukhari to seal the capsule!

Time to share memories with staff past and present…

Time for cake…
