Free resources you can access at home

During these uncertain times, the British public are doing what we do best: pulling together and supporting each other. Teaching websites are no different. Below I have compiled a list of different websites that are offering FREE access to their resources so that you can best support your child at home. Some of these require you to create an account but they are still FREE.

Keep checking this website post as I will update it when I find more useful resources that you can use at home.

Twinkl is a great website full of teaching resources. They have PowerPoints, worksheets, reading comprehensions, e-books practice tests and much much more. They are offering a months access for parents for free. Go to the web link below and create a new membership. Make sure you enter the code PARENTSTWINKLHELPS.

White Rose is a fantastic teaching resource which we use in school. They are currently compiling a series of five brand new maths lessons for each year group. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.

Classroom Secrets Kids is offering FREE access to everyone until the end of April 2020. It covers maths, reading, grammar and spelling. There are loads of games and interactive activities that the children can access themselves. They need to create an account (without the need of an email address).

Oxford Owl for Home is a great website with free resources available to downlaod without registering. They offer reading, English, mathematics and interactive games that include hand ‘how to’ videos to explain tricky concepts.

They also have a ‘free e-books section’ which is great! They have books which match your child’s book band. It is still free but you will need to register so that you can log in.
