Off we go….

Warm up task
Write the date in your home learning book. Monday 30th March 2020
Draw a face to show how you are feeling today.
Draw a picture to show what the weather is like today. If the weather changes during the day draw another picture to show what it was like later on.
Phonics
We are looking at Phase 5.
Today’s sound is ue (oo) and (you)
Sometimes it makes an oo sound and sometimes it makes a you sound
How else can we spell the ue sound? Think back to phase 3.
Can you read these words:
ue (oo)
clue, blue, glue, true
ue (you)
cue, value, rescue, argue
Can you hear that ue makes a different sound?
Ask your adult or a family member to read the words and you spell them in your home learning book. No peaking!
Can you pick one of the words and use it in a sentence?
Ask your adult or a family member to read this sentence and you write it in your home learning book.
Is it true that the bus is due?
Make sure your sentence starts with a capital letter. This one is a question so what should it end in?
Your adult or family member can help you mark your work. How did you do?
Maths

With people in your family, complete the following question.
You will need to use their hands.
Can you think why?
