Can you find something in your house that begins with ‘y’? Can you think of any other words that have the ‘y’ sound in them?
Can you read the following words and sentences and draw a picture for each one in your workbook? If you find an alien word, draw an alien!

Today we’re going to be finding number bonds to 5.
Activity 1:
Can you find all of your number bonds to 5 and write them in your workbook?
You can use your fingers (including your thumb) on one hand to help you. Put all of your fingers up on one hand. Put down 2 fingers. How many fingers are left? 3 – so 2 and 3 make 5 – easy!
Can you find the rest of the number bonds to 5 in this way?
Can you show them in part whole models?
Can you show them in 5 frames?

2. Yusuf has 5 toy cars. He gives four of his cars away. How many cars does he have left?
