Good morning my group, I hope you are all well!
Here is today’s learning:
Phonics
Our phoneme (sound) for today is:
f
Can you find something in your house beginning with f? Can you think of any other words that begin with f?
Can you read the following words and sentences and draw a picture for each one in your workbook? If you find an alien word, draw an alien!
1. fun
2. fan
3. I am Feg and I am an alien.
4. We cannot see in the fog.
Can you write a word or sentence for each of the following pictures? The word/sentence for each picture is written below it. You can ask an adult to read the word/sentence for you to write, or you can memorise the word/ sentence and have a go at writing it yourself.
1.
fog
2.
fin
3.
We had fun at the zoo.
4.
It is hot so the fan is on.
Maths
Today we’re going to be looking at positional language.
Positional language tells you about the position of something or someone. It tells you where something/someone is, or where something/someone is going.
To finish off our learning before we break up for Easter, we’ve got a very exciting challenge!
Can you build your own obstacle course using things from around your house and/or garden? It could be a life-size obstacle course for you to complete, or a mini obstacle course for a mini character (maybe a Lego person?) to complete.
Here are some examples:
Don’t worry if you don’t have lots of equipment like this at home! Be creative and find things that you can use around your home.
Once you have completed your obstacle course, you can give it a go!
As you move around your obstacle course, can you describe the actions you are doing? For example:
”I am walking over the bridge”.
Can you use these words while describing your actions?
over
under
through
around
between
I hope you enjoy today’s activities, and I hope you can enjoy your Easter break as well!
Keep smiling!
Mr Johnson
