Maths

Today we are going to be looking at addition fact families.

Here is an addition fact:

4 + 2 = 6

The two numbers that are being added together can be swapped around, like this:

2 + 4 = 6

These two calculations make an addition fact family.

Here is the addition fact family:

4 + 2 = 6

2 + 4 = 6

The answer stays the same but the two numbers that are being added together can be swapped around.

Here is another example of an addition fact family:

5 +3 = 8

3 + 5 = 8
