World Book Day, quiz, event and photographs

It was fantastic to see so many of you enjoying sharing your favourite books accompanied by your super props! There are some quizzes at the bottom of the World Book Day website http://www.worldbookday.com/quiz/ that will be fun for you try. It’s a great website full of activities and ideas; there are some competitions too.

World Book Day will also be celebrated at Manchester Central Library on Saturday 3rd March, with a Saturday Spectacular event from 12pm to 4pm. Families can enjoy craft making and celebrate your favourite books with digital-based activities.

With it being a snowy day, it is the perfect time to relax  with a good book. If you would like to send any pictures of you reading, please send them to enquiries@st-agnes.manchester.sch.uk with the title ‘reading‘. It could be reading anything, for example: a favourite book, instructions for how to make a sledge, comics, song lyrics, bus timetables, take-away menus, subtitles, etc. It could also be in a variety of settings, such as at home, at the park, in an igloo, etc. It could be reading to someone else or something, such as a friend, relative, pet, toy, snowman, etc.  I would like to display these proudly throughout the school, to showcase the wonderful reading that takes place out of school.

Have a fun snow day,

Mrs Pandolfi
