In Geography we have been focusing on maps and in a previous lesson we created an aerial map of the classroom. This week we created an aerial map of the school. The children worked in teams to create their maps. They had to consider direction and position when drawing the school from above and including features such as the playground, the football pitch and the school building. The children also added in the surrounding street names, something which we have learnt during lessons that focused addresses.
