To celebrate Chinese New Year, Year One were given a design criteria to create a Dragon for the parade that represented the seasons during the Year of the Rat. The children were given a variety of different materials and tools to choose from and were given the opportunity to practice their cutting and joining skills. The children came up with some fantastic ideas for their chosen season and their ideas reflected what they have been learning in Geography and Science in connection to the four seasons.
I would also like to thank the children and parents that came along to the after school event to celebrate Chinese New Year at St.Agnes!
