Our trip to Walton Hall Gardens

On Tuesday we visited Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington. Whilst we were there, the children walked around the children’s zoo and saw a range of animals including peacocks, chickens and a red squirrel.

We then went on a walk through the woods to observe a variety of different plants and trees. The children listened to the sound of the rain on the leaves and the birds tweeting. We are going to recreate these sounds in Music next week.

After this we went on a stroll through the gardens to look at the wide range of flowers which the children will be sorting in Science next week.

Finally, after our lunch, the children got to play on the large playground.

We had an excellent day even if we did get a little bit wet!
