Ahoy there, me hearties!

We’ve been listening to sea shanties – did you know, these were songs sailors used to sing in olden days to help them work?  We practised the famous sea shanty “What shall we do with the drunken sailor?” and then made up our own verses!

Click on the link below to listen to the original song and then have a go at one of our versions!

“Put him in a tree and let monkeys eat him,

Put him in a tree and let monkeys eat him,

Put him in a tree and let monkeys eat him,

Early in the morning!”  Nafisa – 2T

“Put him in the wash until he’s dizzy,

Put him in the wash until he’s dizzy,

Put him in the wash until he’s dizzy,

Early in the morning!” Obaid – 2T
