We’re a bit worried that our cocoons will hatch over the long weekend and we don’t want our butterflies to emerge and have no food. So we’ve put some flowers in the butterfly net and some banana for them to eat (apparently butterflies really like old banana!) We’ve also made a syrup from sugar and water which we’ve sprinkled over the flowers and we’ve soaked paper towels with it to keep them moist over the weekend.
Hopefully, this will be enough to keep our butterflies going if they emerge before Tuesday. Good luck little butterflies! We hope to see you soon!
