Eid Mubarak!
As we start our final half term this year, we would like to update you on what will be happening in Year 2.
The children have worked incredibly hard recently and have now completed all of their SATs tests. We are very proud of the achievements of all of the children and the progress they have made! The results of their assessments will be sent to parents in July along with their end of year reports.
Our learning this half term will all be related to the fantastic Roald Dahl story, The Twits. We will be writing our own tricks for Mr and Mrs Twit to play on one another and improving our descriptive writing skills by describing these horrible characters! We also have some tiny caterpillars who have moved out of the dreadful Twits’ garden and into our classrooms; we are hoping to watch them transform into beautiful butterflies.
In maths we will be consolidating our learning of number and calculation from this year and developing our ability to tell the time. If you could support your child at home with this it would be very much appreciated. This game is an excellent way to practise.
