Home Learning in Year 3 Monday 18th May :-)

Good morning Year 3 ๐Ÿ™‚

We have made it to the last week of the half term, and what a half term it has been!

Live Today For Tomorrow It Will All Be History: Inspirational ...

I know from having spoke to some of you that the boredom is starting to set in now but just think, you are all experiencing a significant part of history that future generations will learn about!

Today’s home learning is as follows:

Maths: Summer Term Week 2 Lesson 1 – Add Fractions

(Remember: your will need to scroll down to the right week!)

English: For your English work today I would like you to record everything that is happening for you at the moment and how that is different from your ‘normal’ routine. How are you feeling? What has changed? What has been the biggest difference for you? Think carefully about all the small things too! In a few years time we will forget what this moment in history felt like for us so it is important to have a record of it. If you can, send me a paragraph in the comments about it so I can put it together in a booklet. It will be interesting to look back on when you are where the current Year 6’s are now and ready to spread your wings and fly!

Art Week!

I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise to find out this is one of my personal favourite subjects! This week we are going to be focusing on drawing. Today you are going to need your ‘Shading Circles’ sheet out of your home learning pack. Have a go at the different techniques shown. Use this video to help you if you need it.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let us know you are here! We will be around during the day to reply to any you leave us and don’t forget you can send us pictures here for us to share on the class pages.

Happy Monday!

        Fazal has completed his activities
        For English he has written:
“I now wake up and do all my school work at home with my mum. I feel sad because I do not get to see any of my school friends. I also do not get to see or visit any of my relatives.
Life was very busy before but now I am enjoying spending a lot of time at home and in my garden playing with my family”.

Hi. What’s art week? Do we need to learn to shade? Because I still know how to do it? Is all the world celebrating Art week?

    • Miss Ryan Posted 18th May 2020 1:25 pm

      Hi Umamah ๐Ÿ™‚

It is just Art week for us this week. We have been focusing on different areas of the curriculum each week and this week is Art! We have started today by looking at shading. You should have a sheet with some examples of shading on and a box for you to have a go at yourself ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello Umamah. Well done for completing all your work ๐Ÿ™‚
Why not have a go on Timestable Rockstars or Mathletics?
Try and keep all your comments in one box, it makes it easier for us to reply ๐Ÿ™‚

I feel sad because I never get to see my friends anymore. Also I feel sad that I don’t get to have fun with my friends. So today I reflected on my memories with my class, friends and teachers. I wish one day I could go back to school. But during these times, I have spent more time with my family and developed my creativity. I would describe myself to be a relaxed and peaceful person who is happy.

    • Miss Ryan Posted 19th May 2020 1:50 pm

It sounds like you are making the very best of an unusual situation Adam! Well done ๐Ÿ™‚
