Snow Days and Under the Sea Adventures

What a higgledy , piggledy week we’ve had! We started the week by planning and retelling our adventure tales based on Adventure at Sandy Cove. We have been looking at the model tale, and changing it to write an under water adventure in which we find the pirate treasure that mysteriously appeared under Miss Ryan’s desk at the beginning of the term. Today, we have put all of our learning into practice and written the adventure tales – I am looking forward to reading them.

In Maths this week, we have been multiplying numbers. It would really help us in class if you would practice the times tables with your child.

Despite the cold weather, we went swimming on Thursday. We are really enjoying our lessons at the new Moss Side Leisure Centre. This week, the children in Vinnie’s group were learning a new stroke – breaststroke. Remember pizza hands, and froggy legs!

Due to the snow day on Wednesday, we have been a little late in setting homework this week. Homework is due in on Wednesday 6th February – we will also have our spelling test on this day to give the children time to learn their spellings.

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs Warrilow
