On Wednesday we had a fantastic afternoon celebrating reading. We had a ‘Booknic’ which is a picnic with books!
There were cakes, juice and biscuits. We had time to read the books given to us by Ben Davis (we got one each!) We also spent some time looking at the books bought for Year 5 by the Literacy Trust- a very generous £500 worth. There are some amazing titles that we can’t wait to read.
Mrs Clegg ran a competition where we had to think of a book title for every letter of the alphabet. We also read some books given to us by Manchester University about different cultures.
It was the best afternoon spent in the sunshine simply reading!
