Egyptian Week

This week we have dressed up as Egyptians because Egypt and Egyptians has been our topic this term.

We think the children in Year 5 have made a huge effort to dress as Egyptians. We all had fun dressing up because most girls got to wear makeup. Our celebration was on Thursday 18th October, the last day of school. This is what we looked like… and here’s more great costumes.

We made a Tutankhamen mask using our own designs, this what they look like before they were designed .

And now this what they look like decorated in an Egyptian style.

We can’t wait to find out what topic we will be learning about next half term!

Just a reminder that tomorrow and next week is Autumn half term holiday.

Yesterday,  on Wednesday 17th October ,we had our disc-glo which means that the people who had 100% attendance since coming back to school in September could enjoy it as a treat. It was lots of fun because we had glow in the dark face paint and a dance contest – the Circles classes vs Triangles classes. After some great moves, triangles won the dance – off!

The disc-glow was attended by lots of children and we think attendance must be improving. Miss Linton will be pleased!

Happy holiday everyone!
