Exciting things happening in Year 5!

On Wednesday the 14th of March Year 5 are having a special book day to launch a project in partnership with The National

Literacy Trust. The project aims to inspire young readers and promote the enjoyment of reading. The children have already completed an on-line questionnaire about reading and the books they enjoy.

As part of this project, The National Literary Trust have bought a new book for every child in Year 5, and on Wednesday they will be presented with the book and have time to read it, snuggled up on a comfy cushion, with a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows!

We will also have time to explore some authors websites and take part in some creative reading activities.

Things to bring on Wednesday: if you like you could bring something to snuggle up with- a pillow or cushion, or even your favourite teddy bear!
