We had our St Agnes’ got talent show on the 21st of June 2019. And the winner was…
Kaynat at in Y4!!! She sang an amazing song and was so confident!

Now it’s time to become super spies/agents! Remember when we told you about Y5 watching Stormbreaker? Well, we also watched Spy Kids, which is about 2 children who find out that their parents are actually spies and they try to save their parents. We have now designed our own gadgets, and we are also trying to write a persuasive text to persuade spies and agents to buy our gadgets.
Assessment Week
This week we have been doing test.We have done reading tests, Arithmetic tests and reason and problem solving tests.
Gifts from The National Literacy Strategy
Three people from each Y5 class were chosen to go to WHSmiths to pick up the free books we have ordered. Every pupil in Year 5 has a new book of their choice to read!

On Wednesday the 3rd of July, every class had transition. Do you know what transition is? Transition is when pupils from classrooms move into different classrooms. Like the Year Si children are moving to high school, Year Fives are moving to Year 6 and so on.
Year 6T’s teacher is Mrs.Brown and Year 6C’s teacher is Mrs.Crowhurst.
OUR TRIP!
On Wednesday we went to Manchester Central Library and met two people, one who writes poems mixed with a story in a book. We learned that it takes a while to publish and edita book! The next person wrote stories of all kinds for children and teenagers.
On Friday 5th of July, we are going to have an Aspiration day! Do you know what aspiration day is? It is a day when we are out of our uniform! But, we dress up as what we want to do for a job when we are older. But don’t go to the shop for new clothes! Use clothes from home! You are more than welcome to bring props into school as long as it represents what you want to be when you’re older.
