Marvellous Minibeasts.

In Year 5 this week we have had some very special visitors – a group of Minibeasts and their owners, Jane and John. They brought their creatures into school and talked to us about how they are adapted to their environment. We got to gently hold most of them. Some of us were a little scared at first, but we found out that they were quite fragile creatures which had to be handled carefully.

The millipede was very tickly. The stick insects felt like they were going to crawl into our ears! The giant bug fitted into the palm of our hand.

We learned a lot from our visitors, particularly that creatures that seem scary are harmless, fragile and need protecting.
