Friday 3rd April 2020. Balanced diets

This week we have been learning about the digestive system. Today we’d like you to create a healthy balanced meal. Look at the pictures above and get to know what types of foods belong to each food group. The ‘eatwell plate’ at the top shows you the proportion of each food group you should eat each day.

Your task is to design a meal (including 2 courses) which is healthy and balanced. You could draw a plate like the example below, or why not use a paper plate? Draw and label the parts of your meal in the correct sections.

How about keeping a record of what you’ve eaten today; how closely does it match the ‘eatwell plate’?
