    2. The MEAN is 24
    3. Miss Brown, I didnt really understand the question.

    A. 70 + _90_ = 160
    B. 2036 ÷ 8 = _254 R4_
    C. 10 + 50 × 4 = _210_
    D. 67577 + 31098 = _98675_
    E. 80% of 3000 = _2400_
    F. 400 × 400 = 160000

    GRAMMAR

    TOUGH =FEIRCE = HAPPY
    MISERABLE = DEPRESSED = ECSTATIC
    HALT = STOP = CARRY ON
    DAWN = EARLY MORNING = AFTERNOON

    READING

    1. SWAP
    2. SWEETS
    3. I even managed to get an orange – can you belive it ? She managed to get a sweet orange out of her rations.
    4. She misses her mother and maybe it might have been so expensive that her mother might not have been able to afford it.

      Great work Khadijah. Take a look at the youtube links on the answer page for the reasoning questions for 1 and 3; they should help. You got all of the arithmetic correct. Have another think about the synonym and antonym for tough. Great understanding of the reading questions.

    Miss Brown, shouldn’t question e in maths be mental as you can add _____ to 31,098, add the 2 numbers together and then at the end take off _____.
