Year 6 Quarry Bank Mill visit

To launch our History topic Year 6 visited Quarry Bank Mill, a factory owned by the Gregg family which produced cotton and cloth.

We learned about the lives of apprentice workers, some as young as six years old. They worked long hours for no pay at all! However, their lives were better than other poor people living in Victorian times.

Here are some photographs of our day out.
