This week, we spent our English sessions looking at different ways to start our sentences. We looked at -ing openers, -ed openers, prepositional phrases, simile starters and subordinate clause starters.
In maths, we are coming to the end of our place value unit after tackling the problem that is ….. negative numbers! In our practical maths sessions, we looked at identifying the increments in a scale and the numerous amounts of units of measure we know; we really stretched our minds with the answers of decigrams and horsepower!
We also witnessed an intense game of chess today at wet play between one of our newly appointed Class Councillors and a recent medal winner of a chess competition in Spain!
