At St Agnes, our House System is designed to build a vibrant, inclusive community where every student can belong, excel, and lead. By grouping our students into four dynamic Houses named after iconic Manchester figures, we celebrate our city's rich heritage while instilling core values that prepare our pupils to shape the future.
Through friendly competition, collaborative projects, and shared leadership, our House System fosters team spirit, resilience, and personal growth across all year groups. Our system of House Captains ensures we are creating confident leaders for the future.

Storey House: The Force of Resilience

Inspiration: Named after Dame Sarah Storey, Great Britain’s most successful Paralympian, Storey House embodies grit, focus, and unwavering determination. We teach our pupils to celebrate effort and bounce back stronger from every challenge.
Sissay House: The Voice of Expression
Values: Love and Respect, Creativity, Imagination
Inspiration: Inspired by Lemn Sissay—celebrated poet, playwright, and activist—Sissay House serves as the creative heart of our school. We encourage every student to express their unique voice through art, stories, and original ideas.
Turing House: The Architect of Innovation
Values: Wisdom, Brilliance, Critical Thinking
Inspiration: Honoring Alan Turing, the mathematical genius and pioneer of modern computing, Turing House is driven by curiosity and problem-solving. We inspire our pupils to think critically, innovate, and embrace complex challenges.
Pankhurst House: The Champions of Courage
Values: Justice, Courage, Equality
Inspiration: Drawing strength from Emmeline Pankhurst, leader of the suffragette movement, Pankhurst House champions fairness, equality, and courage. We empower students to stand up for what is right and drive positive change in their communities.
