Welcome ‘back’!

I hope everyone has a had a safe and peaceful half term. A time to switch off, replenish and enjoy family time in the beautiful weather we have seen recently. Those of our families who have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, I hope it has been a wonderful day.

As some lockdown measures seem to be easing nationally, I would like to stress to all our families to still be careful and take care of each other by observing social distancing and safe hygiene practices to minimise risks in our community.

There are a few changes happening at St Agnes this term.

We have listened to our families and starting this week, we will be providing weekly home learning packs – these are to be picked up from the main playground every Monday from 10am.

Some of our Year 6 pupils will be joining us next week – Monday 8th June. It will be useful to see how safe this will be. We will keep you informed towards the end of next week of how this has worked out.

Following guidance and the fact that our school lunch provider, Manchester Fayre, is now able to provide school lunches again, the kitchen will be open for all our Free School Meal eligible families to come and pick their child’s lunch from the main hall. Please enter through the main gates on Clitheroe Road and come straight into the hall. At all times please maintain social distancing guidelines.

Remote online learning will also continue, to provide an enriching experience for our pupils, in addition to the packs, so please encourage your children to make full use of their class page as their teachers are spending a lot of time preparing them.

Stay safe. Keep well.

Thank you.
