One thing about being a Hamster is that you have very small paws and these very small paws make opening small cage doors very easy! Obviously I would never leave my cage during the day but when the school is quiet and everyone is at home it is nice to stretch my legs and have a look at all the amazing things that have been happening around the school recently.
On one of my first trips out I came across the brand new reading lounge (after going down three flights of stairs that is!). Wow, what a great space, perfect for sitting back and reading a book – so I did! If fact I read several while I was there and I was so relaxed that I nearly fell asleep!
Luckily I made it back to my cage before morning and managed to get some rest before anyone arrived for school. Maybe next time I’ll stick to the top floor rooms and explore up there…
