Here’s a fine motor activity you could do at home.
All you need is a sheet of paper and your hands !
Tear the paper.
Tearing paper is an amazing fine motor activity. Tearing paper requires strength and endurance of the small muscles in the hand. These muscles are important in so many fine motor skills, including handwriting and colouring, managing buttons and zips and using cutlery.
When you’ve torn the paper, see if you can scrunch each piece of paper into a ball.
Then practise throwing them, aiming them into a box, bin or hoop !
This will help to develop good hand-eye coordination too !
