Reception Home Learning: Monday 1st June 2020

Good morning Reception! I hope you’ve been enjoying the sunny weather and had a fanastic half term.

Are you ready to do some learning?

Let’s start with a Wake Up, Shake Up.

It’s the start of a brand new half term and a new month. Can you tell me what month it is? Sing the Months of the Year song to help you remember.

You’re right! It’s June.

Let’s do our Daily Maths Meeting:

Our new number of the week is: 26

The number that is 1 less than 26 is…

The number that is 1 more than 26 is…

Can you do 26 jumps?

Can you tell me what the temperature is? Is it warmer or cooler than yesterday?

Let’s start by practising our handwriting. In your home learning pack you should have a sheet that looks like this:

Practise your handwriting and try and remember to hold your pencil correctly.

This half term we will be looking at the story How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers. Listen to the story below:

Today we will be lookig at the sounds: ‘or’, ‘ur’ and ‘oo’

Can you find the sounds on the sound mat?

Can you complete the phonics worksheet in your home learning pack:

In Maths we will continue doubling numbers and practising numbers to 20. Have a go at completing the following worksheets from your home learning packs:

Relax and Unwind

Note to parents:
