Dear pupils and families of St Agnes,
I’ve attempted to do a video of me sharing some things – the message simply is that we are MISSING YOU ALL terribly!
It is indeed a strange time, unprecedented is the word most commonly used at the moment – it means ‘never done or known before.’ We have never had to close school for this amount of time before. We have never done home learning before. We have never had to socially distance ourselves, go shopping for essentials, closed restaurants and gyms and I have not known of anyone washing their hands as mush as we do now. These are certainly unprecedented times.
This is such a globally significant event, which will be marked in history and we are all experiencing live, right now.
School remains closed as directed by the government. We are working closely with our families to ensure those that need support are able to be looked after as best we can.
Click on the red banner at the top of the website – this will take you directly to the page about all coronavirus – COVID19 related matters.
We will keep you informed through the website, Twitter @agnes_primary and ParentMail of any changes.
All my staff have said how much they are missing you all dearly.
I do urge all of you to visit the class pages daily to keep up with your learning and to maintain a good routine.
I want to share two verses that I feel are very important and resonate with me at the moment:
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12 New International Version:NIV)
“Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives, and the fruits of your toil. But give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. Those who say, when afflicted with calamity, ‘To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return.’ They are those on whom descend blessings from their Lord, and mercy. They are the ones who receive guidance.” (Al Baqarah; 2:155-157)
I pray we are all kept safe and well during this time.
