This week in English we have been focusing on the prefix un- and applying -s or -es to make a word plural.
The prefix un- is applied to a word to create an opposite. For example the word kind would become unkind.
We then explored plurals. Plural means more than one. We add -s or -es to words to reflect there being more than one. For example cat would become cats.
-es is added to words ending in sh, ch, ss, s, x, z.
-s is added to words ending in all other letters.
