Today we are throwing ourselves straight into some writing. As the PDF below suggests, when creating a character for your story, it is a good idea to base it on someone you already know. Don’t just pick anyone. Try to pick someone who has got quite a strong personality trait. Who comes straight to mind when I say the word ‘brave’? What about ‘curious’? ‘Reckless’? You could always base your character on a TV character you know quite well as these characters are often written with quite a specific personality trait. For example, I am sure you picture a great difference in how these two groups of characters would enter an eerie, dubious room through a creepy looking door: Shaggy and Scooby-Doo compared to Fred, Daphne and Velma.

Open the PDF below and read through the suggestions. Try to follow and ‘hug’ the outline for this piece of writing.
